Background: Pregnancy is a condition causing physical and psychological changes in women due to the growth and development of the reproductive organs and fetus. Psychological changes have major impacts on women’s mental health. So far, the focus of health care is still limited to the physical health examination, the mental health has not been paid attention as physical health, so there are some risk of mental health disorders. Pregnant women often neither realize that they have mental health problems, nor know the symptoms they are experiencing because most of the complaints are related to the physical changes of pregnancy. Lack of knowledge causes vulnerability to mental health disorders. Psychiatric conditions that are not handled properly could get worse until the puerperium and cause baby blues and even postpartum depression. This study aims to increase the mental health knowledge of women by providing educational booklet media. Methods: This study uses a quantitative method with a pre experimental design with one group pre and post test design. The study population was pregnant women at Samata Health Center. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with a total of 37 people. Data collection uses a questionnaire sheet. Results: The results using the Wilcoxon Signed Test showed p-value = 0.000 (p<0.05), which means that there is an effect of education using booklet media on the knowledge level of pregnant women. Conclusion: Booklet education media is effective in increasing knowledge of mental health. Booklets can be used as an interesting media in providing the material.
