Publication Ethics
Publication Ethics of Jurnal Ilmiah Kesehatan Pencerah
In addressing issues related to research and publication, Jurnal Ilmiah Kesehatan Pencerah adheres to the guidelines issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in all aspects of publication ethics, particularly regarding protocols for research and publication misconduct. This journal requires that all articles involving human subjects respect the ethical principles of research as outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki. Research involving animal subjects must also comply with the International Guiding Principles for Biomedical Research involving Animals, as published by the Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences (CIOMS).
1. Author Ethics

Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is an original work and has not been published elsewhere.

Authors must guarantee the authenticity of their research and properly cite the work and ideas of others in accordance with the referencing format.

Authors must not engage in plagiarism, and “salami” publication is strictly prohibited.

All experiments involving humans must be conducted in accordance with the ethical standards stated in the Declaration of Helsinki. Authors must include approval from an ethics committee and ensure that informed consent was obtained from all participants.

In experiments involving animals, authors are required to comply with both national and institutional guidelines and ensure that efforts are made to minimize animal suffering.

Authors must disclose all potential conflicts of interest, including employment, research funding, and intellectual property rights.
2. Editor Ethics

Editors are responsible for every article published and must evaluate manuscripts objectively, regardless of the authors’ background.

Editors may communicate with other editors or reviewers in making the final decision.

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and ensure that the review process is conducted anonymously.

Editors are obliged to respect authors’ requests regarding manuscript review and follow up on suspected ethical violations in accordance with COPE guidelines.

If there are suspicions regarding errors or authorship disputes, editors will resolve them by referring to COPE guidelines.
3. Reviewer Ethics

Reviewers must provide constructive feedback regarding potential errors in the research and compliance with publication ethics.

Reviewers must complete their tasks within the agreed timeframe and inform the editor if they are unable to complete the review.

Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and must not accept them if there is a conflict of interest with the authors.
