HUBUNGAN KECEMASAN DENGAN KUALITAS TIDUR PADA LANSIA DI PUSAT PELAYANAN SOSIAL LANJUT USIA (PPSLU) MAPPAKASUNGGU KOTA PAREPARE
Abstract
An elderly person is someone who has entered the final stages of life. This group, which is categorized as elderly, will experience a process called the Aging Process. Anxiety is a common part of life that we often experience, including worrying about things that haven't happened yet. However, if anxiety appears too often, excessively, and for no apparent reason, this can be categorized as an anxiety disorder. Sleep is a basic physiological human need. During sleep, a person's consciousness decreases, but the brain remains active in carrying out important functions, including regulating digestion, heart activity and blood circulation, as well as immune function in providing energy to the body.This research was carried out on March 9 – April 9 2024 at the Mappakasunggu Center for Elderly Social Services (PPSLU), Pare-Pare City. In the elderly, with 38 respondents and 2 questionnaires, in this study the test carried out was the Chi-Square Tests.From the test results, a sign value was obtained. 0.001 < 0.05. So it was concluded that anxiety and sleep quality in the elderly had a correlation or relationship with a value of 0.001.
