Peer Review Process
- Manuscript Submission
- Authors must submit their manuscripts through the Jurnal Ilmiah Kesehatan Iqra online submission system.
- The editor conducts an initial evaluation to ensure that the manuscript aligns with the journal’s focus and scope and complies with the submission guidelines.
- Initial Editorial Assessment
- Manuscripts that pass the initial evaluation proceed to the peer review stage.
- Manuscripts deemed unsuitable in scope or failing to meet basic standards may be rejected at this stage.
- The editor also screens manuscripts for potential plagiarism using plagiarism detection software.
- Peer Review Process
- Jurnal Ilmiah Kesehatan Iqra applies a double-blind review system, in which both author and reviewer identities remain anonymous.
- The editor assigns at least two reviewers with relevant expertise to assess the manuscript.
- Reviewers evaluate the scientific quality, originality, methodology, and contribution of the manuscript to existing knowledge.
- Reviewer’s Recommendation
Reviewers may recommend one of the following outcomes:
- Accepted without revision
- Accepted with minor revisions
- Accepted with major revisions
- Rejected
Reviewers also provide constructive comments and suggestions to help authors improve their manuscripts.
- Manuscript Revision
- If revisions are required, authors are given the opportunity to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers’ suggestions.
- Revised manuscripts are resubmitted to the editor and, if necessary, may be re-evaluated by the reviewers.
- Final Editorial Decision
- The editor makes the final decision based on reviewers’ recommendations, whether the manuscript is accepted, requires further revision, or rejected.
- The final decision is communicated to the authors along with reviewers’ feedback.
- Publication
- Accepted manuscripts undergo final editing before being scheduled for publication in the appropriate journal issue.
- Authors will be notified regarding the publication schedule of their manuscripts.
