Abstract
At an early age there is a rapid development of growth in children aged 0 to 5 years, which is known as the golden age. The golden period is a critical period for the growth and development of children so that giving attention is very important at this time so that if something goes wrong it can be detected early. In addition, proper handling of problems during the golden period can minimize deviations in child development so as to prevent lifelong abnormalities. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parenting and mother's knowledge with gross motor development in toddlers in the working area of the Guali Health Center. This type of research is quantitative research using a cross-sectional predictive correlation research strategy to explain the relationship between variables. 49 respondents as a sample were mothers with children aged 1-2 years who were in the Working Area of the Guali Health Center. Data analysis techniques using univariate and bivariate analysis. The Chi-Square test is used to assess two related variables, namely mother's upbringing and knowledge and gross motor development in mothers with children aged 1-2 years. Statistical test results obtained p = 0.007 (p <0.05). Parenting and knowledge have a significant relationship to the development of gross motor skills of toddlers.
