HUBUNGAN USIA IBU DAN PARITAS DENGAN INISIASI MENYUSUI DINI DI WILAYAH PUSKESMAS MATTIRO DECENG KABUPATEN PINRANG TAHUN 2023
Abstract
Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (IMD) is the process of letting a baby with his own instincts be able to breastfeed immediately within the first 1 hour after birth, along with skin contact between the baby and the mother's skin. The baby is left at least 1 hour on the mother's chest, until he is suckling on his own. The purpose of this research is the relationship between maternal age and parity with early breastfeeding initiation in the Mattiro Deceng Community Health Center, Pinrang Regency, in 2023. This type of research is analytic observational with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study is the population in this study are mothers who gave birth to babies in February - March 2023. The sample size is 40 respondents using a total sampling technique. The results showed that the majority of respondents were aged 20-35 years, namely 29 respondents (72.5%), and at ages <20 years and >30 years, there were 11 respondents (27.5%) with a value of p = 0.039 < α = 0 ,05. Most of the parity of respondents who were not at risk were 28 respondents (70%) and parity who were at risk were 12 respondents (30%) with a value of p = 0.006 < α = 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between maternal age and parity with early initiation of breastfeeding at the Mattiro Deceng Health Center, Pinrang Regency.
