FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN MINAT IBU MENGGUNAKAN ALAT KONTRASEPSI DALAM RAHIM (AKDR) DI PUSKESMAS TEPPO
Abstract
High population growth is the biggest problem in Indonesia, especially
in the population sector. One of the strategies of Family Planning (KB)
is to increase the use of long-term contraceptives that are most effective
to suppress population growth such as Intrauterine Devices (IUDs)
which are the most effective contraceptives. However, low use means
that there is less interest in couples of childbearing age who are
influenced by low education and economic factors and low knowledge
of Long-Term Contraceptive Methods (MKJP). This study aims to
determine the factors related to maternal interest in using IUD
contraceptives, especially at the Teppo Health Center, Pinrang Regency.
The type of research used by the author is scientific exploratory research
with a cross sectional review, which is a type of observational research
by observing population data only once at the same time. The population
in this study was all mothers of couples of childbearing age who were
married and wanted to become birth control acceptors. The sample in
this study was 51 respondents. With sampling techniques using
purposive sampling, a sampling technique by selecting samples among
the population according to what the researcher wants (purpose /
problem in research), so that the sample can represent previously known
population characteristics. The results of this study using the Chi-Square
Test showed that Knowledge (p = 0.169), Attitude (p = 1,000). Husband
Support (p = 0.282) is not related to the mother's interest in using IUD
contraceptives at the Teppo Health Center, Pinrang Regency. Midwives
are expected to provide socialization related to IUD services,
effectiveness and side effects of IUDs and educate them to join using
IUD services. It is expected that the husband participates in socialization
so that the husband can support his wife to use the IUD
