Holistic management, including non-pharmacological Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) such as Citronella Grass foot soak therapy, is essential for optimal outcomes,. This study aims to evaluate the effect of applying warm water foot soak therapy with Citronella Grass on BP changes in a case of Chronic Hypertension (CH). A descriptive case study (case report) method was employed from June 11–14, 2025. The intervention was provided for 15–20 minutes daily,. Results showed a significant BP reduction from 160/100 mmHg (Stage 2) to 130/80 mmHg (Stage 1) in four days,. The total reduction reached 30 mmHg systolic and 20 mmHg diastolic, proving the Citronella Grass foot soak effective as a complementary intervention.

Keywords: Chronic Hypertension, Citronella Grass, Foot Soak, Pregnant Women.
2026-01-31T00:00:00+08:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://jurnal.itkesmusidrap.ac.id/JIKP/article/view/1720 EFEKTIVITAS PEMBERIAN TERAPI FOOT MASSAGE MENGGUNAKAN KOMBINASI LEMONGRASS OIL DAN LAVENDER OIL TERHADAP PENURUNAN TEKANAN DARAH PADA LANSIA HIPERTENSI DI DESA MANDALAHERANG 2026-02-17T14:26:49+08:00 Karmilah _ karmilah@upi.edu
Hypertension is a major health problem with a high prevalence in the elderly, reaching more than 60–70%. This condition triggers serious complications such as stroke and heart failure, and is exacerbated by the risk of polypharmacy and low medication adherence. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions in the form of foot massage therapy combined with lemongrass oil and lavender oil on reducing blood pressure in elderly hypertensive patients in Mandalaherang Village. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach. The subject of the study was one elderly person with hypertension (Mr. A) who was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The 30-minute foot massage intervention using a combination of essential oils was carried out intensively for seven consecutive days on November 3-9, 2025. Initial assessment results indicated that the subject was experiencing an early hypertensive crisis with a blood pressure (BP) of 200/120 mmHg. After seven days of intervention, the subject's BP successfully decreased and stabilized to 160/100 mmHg. In conclusion, providing foot massage therapy combined with lemongrass oil and lavender oil has proven effective in reducing and stabilizing blood pressure in elderly hypertensive patients. Further research is recommended using a quasi-experimental design with a larger sample size and longer duration to obtain a picture of the long-term effectiveness on the quality of life of hypertensive patients.
2026-01-31T00:00:00+08:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://jurnal.itkesmusidrap.ac.id/JIKP/article/view/1730 IDENTIFIKASI POLA ASUH ORANG TUA PADA ANAK PRA-SEKOLAH DI PAUD AL-KAHFI 2026-02-17T14:26:49+08:00 Sri Maryati srimaryati143@gmail.com Rahayu Safitri srimaryati143@gmail.com Mona Megasari srimaryati143@gmail.com Damai Yanti royasmile@yahoo.com Marsha Azzahra srimaryati143@gmail.com
The preschool period is considered a “golden age” (3–6 years), which plays a crucial role in shaping children’s self-confidence, independence, and social abilities. During this stage, parenting style plays an important role in forming children’s character and behavior. This study aims to identify the parenting styles applied by parents of preschool children at PAUD Al-Kahfi. This research employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The population as well as the sample consisted of 40 respondents selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed descriptively, followed by Gamma and Somers’d statistical tests to determine emerging parenting tendencies. The findings showed that the democratic parenting style was the most dominantly applied by parents (42%), followed by authoritarian (35.0%) and permissive styles (22.5%). These results indicate that most parents have implemented parenting styles that support the development of positive attitudes in children, although some parents still apply less appropriate parenting approaches. This study is expected to serve as a reference for parents, educators, and health workers in improving appropriate parenting practices to support the optimal growth and development of preschool children
2026-01-31T00:00:00+08:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://jurnal.itkesmusidrap.ac.id/JIKP/article/view/1729 EFFLURAGE MASSAGE DAN TERAPI MUSIK PADA IBU POSTPARTUM PERVAGINAM DENGAN AFTERPAIN: EVIDENCE-BASED NURSING PRACTICE 2026-02-17T14:26:50+08:00 Siti Rahmawati siti.rahmawati@binawan.ac.id Dadan Ramdani dadan.ramdani@binawan.ac.id
Afterpain can cause significant discomfort in postpartum mothers, manifested as pain, cramps, and abdominal colic. Pain resulting from uterine contractions may interfere with infant care and self-care activities in daily life. Moreover, severe postpartum uterine contraction pain can disrupt rest and contribute to anxiety or depression. Therefore, appropriate nursing management is required to prevent the escalation of pain and maternal discomfort. One evidence-based nursing practice that can be applied by nurses to reduce afterpain is the use of effleurage massage relaxation therapy and music therapy. This study employed an experimental trial design involving five postpartum mothers who underwent vaginal delivery, selected using consecutive sampling. The exclusion criteria included mothers who had cesarean section delivery, those with obstetric emergencies, mothers who were under anesthesia or experiencing disorientation or confusion, those with hearing impairment, and those with mental health disorders. The implementation of evidence-based nursing (EBN) was conducted by providing education through video media regarding afterpain and its management, as well as simulations of effleurage massage and music therapy involving the respondents’ husbands or family members. The results demonstrated that this intervention was effective in reducing afterpain among postpartum mothers.
2026-01-31T00:00:00+08:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement##
